TASK DESCRIPTION: Our tasks to accomplish our purpose are as follows:
The HBA Evangelism Team's purpose will be accomplished through various events and promotions perhaps including but not limited to the following:
An annual event called Evangelism Fair in which every HBA church will be encouraged to bring material to set up a booth to show various means they have used to share the Gospel.
Motivational speaker(s) will be a part of the annual HBA Evangelism Fair.
Create an HBA Evangelism Resource Guide.
Create an HBA Evangelism web page (listing all resources).
Provide a list of HBA preaching/music evangelists
(This list ideally will be persons willing to lead revival meetings in HBA churches without any expense reimbursement/honorariums.)
Host an associational Lay Renewal Weekend.
How Elected: The Evangelism Team is nominated by the Administrative Team and elected by the Association in the April Semi-Annual Meeting. Team Member terms are on three years rotational system with one-third of team members rotating off each year.
Purpose Statement: Associational
Our purpose as the churches that form the Heartland Baptist Association is to support one another in reaching and growing people for Christ. To accomplish this purpose the Association shall:
assist the churches to be on mission for our Lord Jesus Christ in their location;
assist the churches in planning, conducting, evaluating, and improving their programs of ministry, outreach, and discipleship;
promote and strengthen fellowship among the churches of the Association; and
be a channel of information to the churches from the Missouri Baptist Convention, the Southern Baptist Convention, their agencies and programs.
